Zee Cast ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Zee Cast handles your information when you use our iOS, iPadOS, or Android application.

Data Collection

The Zee Cast mobile app does not collect personal data for Zee Cast. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Device identifiers (UDID, advertising ID)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Crash reports or diagnostics
• Your photos, videos, or media files
• Browsing history or app usage patterns

How Zee Cast Works

Zee Cast is a local media server that operates entirely on your device and local Wi-Fi network:

• Media Access: The app accesses your Photos library only when you explicitly select media to add to collections. This access is granted through iOS permissions.
• Local Network: The app uses your local Wi-Fi network to stream media to DLNA/UPnP compatible devices (smart TVs, media players, etc.).
• No Cloud Storage: Your media is never uploaded to any cloud service or remote server.
• No Internet Required: The app functions completely offline and does not require an internet connection.

Data Storage

All data created by Zee Cast is stored locally on your device:

• Collections: Your media collections and organization preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in storage.
• Settings: App settings (server name, port, auto-start preference) are stored locally using UserDefaults.
• No Cloud Sync: We do not sync any data to iCloud or any other cloud service.

Network Communication

Zee Cast communicates only on your local Wi-Fi network:

• DLNA/UPnP Protocol: The app uses industry-standard DLNA/UPnP protocols to advertise itself on your local network and serve media to compatible devices.
• No External Servers: The app does not connect to any external servers, APIs, or third-party services.
• No Tracking: We do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that collect data.

Permissions

Zee Cast requests the following iOS permissions, used only for core functionality:

• Photos Library Access: To allow you to select photos and videos to add to your collections.
• Local Network Access: To discover and communicate with DLNA/UPnP devices on your Wi-Fi network.
• Background Audio: To keep the server running while streaming media in the background.

These permissions are used solely for the app's functionality and do not enable any data collection.

Third-Party Services

The Zee Cast mobile app does not integrate with advertising networks or analytics platforms. App Store and Google Play purchase services process Free-to-Pro purchases under their own terms and privacy policies.

Website Analytics and Campaign Measurement

This privacy policy page and the Zee Cast marketing website are separate from the mobile app. The website uses a self-hosted Umami analytics service and Google Ads measurement to understand page visits, traffic sources, campaign parameters, section engagement, FAQ opens, and clicks to the App Store or Google Play.

• No media access: Website analytics cannot access the photos, videos, audio, or collections inside the Zee Cast app.
• Campaign data: The website may process referral URLs and campaign identifiers such as UTM parameters, GCLID, or FBCLID when they are present in a visit URL.
• Advertising providers: Google may process website measurement data under its own privacy terms. Future advertising platforms will be disclosed here before their tracking is enabled.

Children's Privacy

Zee Cast does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Your Rights

The Zee Cast mobile app does not create a Zee Cast account or upload a personal profile. You maintain complete control over:

• Which media you add to collections (stored locally on your device)
• When the server is running (you can start/stop it at any time)
• Which devices can access your media (limited to your local network)

To completely remove all app data, simply delete the Zee Cast app from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Since the app does not collect data, changes will likely be minor clarifications.
